Iron Patriot is NOT going to be in Iron Man 3!

Well, not as such. Apparently the Iron Patriot armor that has been seen on set was actually War Machine with a paint job. (The other actor in the suit was actually Don Cheadle’s stunt man.)

Sources are saying the updated War Machine armor will be call Iron Patriot in the movie, but it won’t be in reference to the Dark Avengers villain.

So that’s one less villain for this film. But hey, at least we’re still getting some A.I.M., according to a set photo of a half-covered sign reading “Advanced Idea Mechanics”. I still doubt we’ll see MODOK, though.
