Problematic does not mean you should be ashamed

Problematic does not mean you are a bad person for liking the problematic thing.

Problematic doesn’t mean you should stop doing the problematic thing

Problematic certainly doesn’t mean you should shout loudly and try and dogpile people who use the fucking word in relation to your own personal piece of fapping material.

Problematic means that it’s a trend that could end badly and be offensive to others. You need to be aware of it, to look it and then think of why you’re doing it.

Like, for example, using eastern influences to portray a goddamn frost giant from another planet as he appears to other aliens loosely based on friggin’ Norse mythology.   “Because we’re looking through an Aesir lens and he’d look exotic to them!” doesn’t fucking cut it, a goddamn toaster iron would look exotic to the denizens of Asgard.  I don’t see toaster!jotun!lokis floating about.

But feel free to take that as a challenge.
